Corporate Communications

Corporate Communications is responsible for providing strategic communications advice and tactical services to create open, transparent and proactive communication within the City of Medicine Hat and between the City and the people it serves.

One of City Council’s priorities is Communications and Community Relations: Medicine Hat residents are interested in the actions taken by their municipal government to serve the community. They also expect to be informed on emerging issues and critical Council decisions. Regular communication is required and access to relevant information is necessary. City Council recognizes the significant roles it plays in keeping the community informed, and wants to ensure that it performs its communications role to a high standard. In support of Council, Administration is required to provide accurate information to the community and to be accessible in answering public inquiries and concerns. A high level of customer service is expected in the areas selected by Council.

  • Civic and Corporate Functions
  • Electronic Communications / Web Services

Structure

The Corporate Communications team includes a Manager, Communications Officer, Graphic Designer and part-time Administrative Assistant.

Corporate Communications provides services to both internal and external clients:

  • City Senior Management/Workgroup Leaders
  • Media
  • City of Medicine Hat Utility Customers
