The Medicine Hat Parks System Management Plan reflects the City's ongoing commitment of working to meet the parks and recreation needs and desires of its residents.

Medicine Hat has an extensive parks system with a number of facilities throughout the city. These areas are maintained to the highest possible standard, utilizing the most effective and efficient means possible and ensuring a diverse range of outdoor recreation opportunities. All locations are available for reservations.

Our park system encompasses approximately 1458 hectares of natural areas and 92 - kilometre trail system. Also maintained are 82 playgrounds and provide operational and programming services through partnerships and agreements with community groups and organizations.

Tennis courts, school and City baseball diamonds, and recreational fields are available for reservation throughout the season.
