The majority of trails and facilities that were affected by the flood are now restored and open to the public. Recently opened areas include:
- NW Riverside Trail
- Police Point Park shale trails
- Marlborough Coulee Trail
- Kin Coulee Kinette Kitchen
- Kiwanis River Park Trail
- Strathcona Island Park North Kitchen Shelter
- Strathcona Island Park Trail between Lovell McDonnell Field and the Trans Canada Trail Marker
Some trail closures remain in place for public safety measures. Please obey posted signage and barricades. The following areas remain closed:
- Kin Coulee Park Vehicle Bridge will remain closed for public safety until repairs are complete.
- Pedestrian tunnel under the Trans Canada Highway from Kin Coulee Park remains closed due to flooding and silt accumulation. Work is progressing on the Seven Persons Creek in this area.
- Ajax Coulee Trail remains closed due to damage to the boardwalks and repairs are required to the Kensington Foot Bridge.
- Seven Persons Creek Trail from Dunmore Road SE to Scholten Hill.
- Echo Dale Regional Park shale trail along the South Saskatchewan River.
- Strathcona Island Park Trail between Lovell McDonnell Field and the south entrance to the Park (adjacent to Seven Persons Creek).
