The City of Medicine Hat will be constructing Parkview Drive NE extension from Division Avenue N to 20th Street NE starting April 2012, and continuing into the summer of 2013, pending weather conditions and contractor scheduling.
This project will provide increased traffic & pedestrian connectivity between NE and NW Crescent Heights.
Project Highlights:
• Construction of approx. 3.7 km of four-lane arterial roadway from Division Avenue NE to 20th Street NE.
• Construction of a sound berm from 11th Avenue NE to Ranchlands Blvd NE.
• Installation of a 3 meter wide multi-use asphalt trail from 11th Avenue NE to Ranchlands Blvd NE.
• Installation of approx. 1.8 km of storm sewer line.
• Installation of approx. 120 new streetlights.
• Landscape restoration including finish grading and hydraulic seeding of native dry-land prairie grass.
