Property Taxes Due June 30

Medicine Hat – Residents are reminded that property tax payments are due June 30, 2012. Since the due date falls on a Saturday this year, property taxes will be considered paid on time if received at City Hall by 4:30 pm on July 3, 2012.
The easiest way to pay is by automatic withdrawal through the Tax Installment Payment Plan (TIPP). If you sign up before June 30, you can pay half your taxes now and the remainder in monthly installments.
Customers have numerous payment options to avoid the payment line-ups at City Hall. A customer can pay through internet or telebanking, at their financial institution, by mail or by using the after-hours drop box at the west entrance of City Hall.
A penalty of 3.65% will be added to any unpaid balance at the end of day on July 3, 2012.
