Traffic Closure
Posted Date: 6/25/2012
For Immediate Release
June 25, 2012

Medicine Hat – On Tuesday June 26, the Environmental Utilities construction crew will be replacing a broken sewer service into 609 Kingsway Ave SE, on the corner of Kingsway Ave and South Railway Street. The damaged service for this property comes out to South Railway St which means that in order to do this job safely, the road will be closed and traffic detoured around the our work zone. This project is scheduled for three days, June 26 to 28.

South Railway Street will be closed to traffic in both directions in the half block next to Kingsway Ave. Local traffic will be allowed up to the work zone from the east in order to access to area businesses. Signs and safety cones will be in place to direct the flow of traffic.

There will be no access to South Railway Street from Kingsway Ave. Traffic will be detoured South on Kingsway Ave to Ninth Street and then must follow the detours signs on Ninth Street to get to South Railway Street. South Railway traffic moving west will be detoured at Sixth Street to gain access to Kingsway Ave.
