Draft Land Use Bylaw Information on City Website
Posted Date: 7/4/2012
For Immediate Release
July 4, 2012

Medicine Hat – The City of Medicine Hat hosted two public Open Houses last week for residents to view and comment on the draft Land Use Bylaw. The Land Use Bylaw establishes what is permitted on each parcel of land and conditions under which development can occur. The intent was to gather public comments on the issues drafted through the Land Use Bylaw process.

Information used at the Open Houses including the 28 story boards, Power Point presentation, Land Use Districts Maps, newspaper information publications and comment sheets can now be found at www.medicinehat.ca and then clicking on Publications, Plans and Reports.

Residents are urged to review the material and submit their comments on any portion of the draft Land Use Bylaw by Friday July 20, 2012.

All comments will be posted on the City’s web site on July 30 and will be taken into consideration as staff work on revisions and updating the Land Use Bylaw, an important planning document that will be used by City Council to shape this community and direct the course of the living environment. The proposed Land Use Bylaw will be presented to the public this fall.
