Strathcona Island Park Boat Launch
Rededication Ceremony

Medicine Hat – The City of Medicine Hat Parks and Recreation department is pleased to announce the Rededication Ceremony of the upgraded Strathcona Island Park Boat Launch Saturday, July 7 at 10:30 a.m.
The City wishes to recognize our funding partners: the Government of Alberta, though a Community Facility Enhancement Program Grant, and the Medicine Hat Fish and Game Association. The project’s success is attributed to the Association’s dedication and members’ commitment.
The original boat launch in Strathcona Island Park was developed in 1984 as part of the Urban Parks Program and consisted of a concrete boat launch with limited gravel access area and parallel parking. The upgrades to the boat launch include development of an asphalt turn around area and additional pull thru parking.
