Thin Ice a Danger to People and Pets
Posted Date: 2/17/2017 11:00 AM

Medicine Hat – Medicine Hat Fire Services urges residents to use caution around any bodies of water that appear to be frozen including ponds, creeks and rivers.   With the recent warm weather the lingering ice is extremely unstable and may not be capable of supporting any weight.

Fire Services is advising that pets be kept on a leash when near bodies of water so they do not venture out on the ice after birds and other wildlife.

Medicine Hat Fire Service is concerned for the safety of our residents so please treat all bodies of water as dangerous and stay off the ice.
