About Us

Veiner Centre is proud to serve people over 50 in the community of Medicine Hat, Alberta. Veiner Centre is a "home away from home" for its 1500 members. People come to Veiner Centre to meet with friends, eat great home-cooked meals, volunteer, and take part in our diverse activities-above all, they come here to have fun! Veiner Centre also provides support programs and community education that promote the well-being of people over 50 in our community.

Veiner Centre was opened in 1975 and was named after Medicine Hat's former mayor Harry Veiner. It is operated and funded by the City of Medicine Hat. Some Veiner Centre activities also take place at the Strathcona Centre, Veiner Centre's nearby satellite centre.
