Membership at Veiner and Strathcona Centres is available to all adults who are 50-plus. In addition to joining a vibrant community, there are many benefits to becoming a member. Regular and full memberships are available, renewable on a yearly basis.
Benefits of a regular membership:
- Participation in over 45 leisure activities including fitness classes, cards, choir, art, scrabble, writer clubs, carpet bowling, floor curling, shuffleboard, table tennis, bocce, line dancing, crafts, darts, and many more
- Educational activities such as videos, workshops, computer classes and other instructional activities
- Reduced Park Side Eatery prices
- Enjoyment of 50+ Weekly Night Out, including games, cards and dancing
- Availability of meeting space for groups where 50% of the participants are members
- A chance to enter and win in the weekly membership draw
- The opportunity to purchase tickets for membership dinners, which are held twice per year
- Participation in the Veiner Centre Travel Program, the “Hottest Travel Club in Town!” which includes day trips throughout Southern Alberta and Saskatchewan; popular destinations include Rosebud Theatre, Stage West Theatre, Calgary Zoo, Calgary Heritage Park, Moose Jaw Temple Garden Spa, and more
Benefits of a full membership:
- All of the benefits listed above, plus
- Full access to the Veiner Health and Fitness Centre
- Full access to snooker/billiards facilities at Strathcona Centre
- Full access to the Indoor Golf Program at Crestwood Rec Centre and Crestwood School
Membership Costs:
The cost of a regular membership is $30 per year. The full membership is an additional $30 for a total of $60 per year. Memberships are sold at the Veiner Centre front office during business hours. For more information, please call or visit Veiner Centre.
