Water Treatment Plant Overland Flow Protection required the construction of 640 metres of overland flow protection for the Water Treatment Plant (WTP) and the Power Plant (PP). In 2013, a significant temporary berm was built to protect the WTP and PP including the pump houses which are critical to the operation of both facilities. The existing roadway located around the north portion of the facilities was raised to an elevation which will protect the facilities from being inundated with overland flow during a 1 in 100 year event and greater.
