Vehicle Access Permits
The Parks and Recreation Department would like to remind all residents that if they require access to their backyards and it involves crossing an open space, municipal or environmental reserve, they need to apply for a Park Vehicle Access Permit.
Park Permit Fee: $100.00
A damage deposit and fee will be required upon approval
Park Permit General Information:
The Vehicle Access Permit (‘Permit’) must be completed by the owner of the property or contractor completing the work and returned to Parks and Recreation a minimum of 7 business days prior to the date access is required. The City of Medicine Hat (‘City’) reserves the right to refuse any Permit application.
Residents wishing to qualify for a Permit should consider all other possible options before applying. Applicants are required to demonstrate to the City that there is no other reasonable option available.
Permission will not be granted for dedicated natural areas such as the Ross Creek Natural Park. Only maintenance and emergency access will be granted.
